Paul's 40th birthday

  For Paul's 40th birthday, he wanted to celebrate at the cabin.  Muffin blew up 40 black balloons and put lots of candy in little bags, then we dumped the balloons out of the upper window onto Paul as he came through the back door.

Thanksgiving

We decided to try Thanksgiving out at the cabin this year.  I was a little nervous because it's not like you can "run" to the store to grab something that you forgot.  I finally decided that we'd do simple and if we didn't have it, we weren't meant to have it.  The cabin was perfect and we enjoyed the time together.  It was the first Thanksgiving in MANY years that we spent with my dad and Becky too.

Since my birthday fell on the day after Thanksgiving, we celebrated up at the cabin and Ashley was very excited to make my favorite lemon cake.
